Travel to Hampton Court
The Hampton Court Station is on a branch line that starts at Waterloo. Tickets and Information. From the station, turn up the hill and over the river bridge. It is about five minutes walk.
Alternatively, one can travel by riverboat from either Westminster Bridge or Richmond. My preference would be from Richmond which is the shorter journey (about 1 and 3/4 hours) and more picturesque. Pictures and information.
