The opening page is a picture gallery of places to choose from.
The menu items also open a galleries of writing or a gallery of “brighten the day” posts.
Additional items are about climate change with an occasional entry about the terrorist attacks in London UK.
Based in East London in the UK, Picture this UK and Freed From Time are an exploration of places of interest and photographs that may please the eye and morsels of memory that seem timeless. There may be an occasional addition of a topical issue especially climate change.
I chose GrahamInHats as a pen name because I do find myself engaged in a variety of projects, each of which require a different attitude/hat.
I believe there is that which makes life possible and there is that which makes it worth living and protecting. This blog is mostly a reminder of the second.

First of all, photography inside St. Paul’s is not restricted all the time. You need to find the proper event (mostly paid). Or ask the staff, when will be the next occasion to do that. Of course flash photography is not allowed. Hope it help a bit 😉

Thank you. The hat got lost in the wind and I’ve had a furry one for the winter but I’ll be getting a replacement. They used to say that if you want to get ahead get a hat. 🙂

Hey, I was looking at your site again yesterday and was looking through photos of a museum that had a lot of Pre-Raphaelites. I wanted to look at the museum’s webpage to have a look at more of their art. I’ve misplaced the page but am willing to bet your knowledge of things UK is deep and you would not off the top of your head where I need to go.
Could you please tell me or link your entries on those museums that feature that era? Thanks! And I do enjoy wandering about your site. It’s like a nice little armchair trip to England.

There is a sample of Pre-Raphaelite paintings on the Tate Britain Gallery post ⇐. It includes The Lady of Shalott by Waterhouse who is considered to be modern Pre-Raphaelite although he was not a member of the brotherhood.

Thank you! What a nice Christmas present. I shall look through them in the am. I was thinking there were a few at the Tate. Years ago they used to do an online advent that featured a different work behind each door. Again, Merry Christmas!
